We represent a client who provided substantial funds to a close family friend- a real estate developer. The money was to be used for various real estate projects. Despite numerous promises, the developer failed to repay our client. We asserted claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, promissory estoppel, piercing the corporate veil and punitive damages in Fulton Superior Court. The developer filed a motion for summary judgment, which was denied. The case will now proceed to trial.
