Roy B. Robinson, III started The R.B. Robinson Company, LLC in 2002.  The R.B. Robinson Company is a public affairs firm with an emphasis on governmental affairs and public policy.  Roy’s clients include AGL Resources Inc., Altria Client Services, AT&T, Community Loans, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), MGM Resorts International, Inc., MARTA, and the State Bar of Georgia. 

Prior to opening his firm, Robinson was the Director of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs for AGL Resources Inc. In that role, he was the lead governmental liaison to the City of Atlanta, the Georgia General Assembly and the Georgia Congressional Delegation. He also maintained and administered the company’s federal Political Action Committee (PAC).

Before joining AGL, Robinson served as a congressional staffer to retired United States Senator Sam Nunn.  In his five year tenure with Senator Nunn, Robinson rose through the ranks from Staff Assistant to State Administrative Aide.  In that role, he would provide regular legislative updates on pending issues to civic organizations, Chambers of Commerce and constituents.

Recognized as one of Georgia’s “Most Influential” lobbyist by James Magazine from 2004 to present, Robinson is actively involved in a variety of business and civic organizations including the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He is currently a member of the Georgia Chamber and is a past Chairman of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Council (GAC).  Robinson is also a member of the of the Corporate Roundtable of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL).  He also sits on the Board of Trustees for Atlanta Academy in Roswell, the Board of Trustees for Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia and on the Board of Trustees for Georgia College and State University Foundation in Milledgeville, Georgia. Robinson is also an alumnus of Leadership Macon (1991), Leadership Atlanta (1999) and Leadership Georgia (2000).
