Macy joined Robbins Government Relations in October 2022.
Prior to joining RGR, Macy served as Chief of Staff to the Office of Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan. While in the Lt. Governor’s Office, she served as the top strategist for public policy decisions, legislative initiatives, and as the Lt. Governor’s designee on the General Assembly’s Litigation Oversight Committee. She is also the first female chief of staff to a Georgia Lt. Governor.
Macy has spent almost a decade working in Georgia politics, having served under two lieutenant governors and the current leadership of the Georgia Senate. She has strong expertise in multiple policy areas and is a trusted and proven adviser at the highest levels of state government. As one of the state’s most senior staffers, she shepherded the Georgia Senate through a time of intense national scrutiny during the Covid-19 pandemic and is well-versed in managing national media outreach. She also has experience shaping key legislation, including the state budget.
Macy earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. While obtaining her law degree, she worked as a Legislative Policy Analyst for the Georgia Senate where she advised legislators on ethics and elections policy, and state and local regulatory issues. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Political Science.
Macy is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Federalist Society and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
